A news headline earlier today about a ‘lost contract’ impacted the share price. The company have now formally updated the market, late in the day, to say it was in preferred bidder pipeline and not backlog and will not impact results. Unfortunate that the board did not get ahead of this and avoid the volatility> Our thesis has not been impacted – it is well understand that the business model involves large, lumpy contracts – and this episode once again highlights the opportunity to transfer wealth from the impatient to the patient
